Keith Senior hopes to carry on playing in Super League despite confirming that he will leave Leeds Rhinos, 16/1 with bet365 to win this year’s Grand Final, at the end of this season.
The 35-year-old was told he will play no more rugby this season after picking up a serious knee injury in the 40-20 Challenge Cup fifth-round win over Harlequins in May.
Senior will make one final appearance for Leeds, who are 10/1 to secure this year’s Challenge Cup, in the traditional Boxing Day Charity Festive Challenge match.
“I understand the club’s desire to look to the future but I can play two more seasons in Super League,” he said.
“My recovery is coming along well from the knee operation and the biggest disappointment for me is that I will leave the club whilst injured.”
