Paul Hanagan has, for the first time, usurped market leader Ryan Moore at the head of the Flat Jockeys’ Championship 2011 betting – the current title-holder is now 5-6 from 15-8 with William Hill to land a repeat victory.

Moore has occupied top-spot in the betting since the new title race began when available at even-money (Hanagan 7-2 second-favourite), however has been steadily on the drift as the season warms up, with his adversary recording a number of high-profile successes amongst many others.

Lucy Rhodes from William Hill, said ‘Paul Hanagan is relentless in his quest for winners and he’s showing no signs of stopping. If he carries on at this rate, a second successive victory could well be on the cards. Last year he fought off Hughsie, however can he floor the Moore?!’

REVISED 2011 Flat Jockeys’ Championship: 5-6 Paul Hanagan, 11-8 Ryan Moore, 9-1 Richard Hughes, 14-1 Kieren Fallon, 25-1 Silvestre De Souza
