Mark Hughes Appointed QPR Manager

The appointment of Mark Hughes as the new manager of Queens Park Rangers has prompted StanJames.com to open a market on his likely transfer window spend. We make it a 7/4 shot that the club spends £20million or more. For those not so confident, we’re offering 13/8 that they spend between £15million and £20million and for all the fence sitters we’ve gone for 7/4 that it is under £15million.

“Hughes would not have signed up for the job unless there were a significant kitty available to him this month.” says Stan James spokesman Rory Jiwani. “The 7/4 that he spends over £20million might very well appeal to punters, but we feel it will probably fall just short of that figure. One thing that is certain is that chequebook will be well and truly open for the next three weeks!”

Stanjames.com are also betting on QPR’s total season points, offering 5/6 that the club get 38 points or less, and 5/6 that they manage 39 or more. We’re 2/1 that the side finish as the top promoted club and Evs that they avoid relegation come the end of the season. Click here For These QPR Season Specials

In another QPR special, we are offering 4/5 that they win two or more of their next five Premier League matches. They face Newcastle away, Wigan at home, Villa away, Wolves at home and then Blackburn away.
